Terms of service

The agreement between Good Eggs and the charities that use it, in plain English. Last updated 31 October 2026.

Who these terms are for

These terms cover the Good Eggs website builder and CRM ("the service"), and the charity or community group that signs up to use it ("you"). The people who sign in to manage your site and records are your staff and volunteers; you are responsible for who you give an account to.

By using the service you agree to these terms. If you are signing up on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you can agree for it.

What we provide

A website on your own address or a goodeggs.net one, a place to keep your contacts, enquiries, volunteers and attendance, and the tools to report on them. We host it, keep it up to date, back it up and fix what breaks.

We aim to keep the service running all the time, but we may take it down briefly for maintenance, and we cannot promise it will never fail. When something goes wrong we tell you, and put it right as fast as we can.

Your content and your data

What you put in the service stays yours: your pages, pictures, contacts and records. You give us permission to store it, show it on your website and process it only to run the service for you.

For the personal data of your supporters, members and volunteers, you are the controller and we are your processor. We act only on your instructions, keep it confidential, keep it secure, and help you answer requests from the people it is about. Our privacy notice says which other companies help us run the service.

You can export your data at any time. If you leave, we give you the chance to take it with you, then delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Using the service fairly

Do not use the service to break the law, to send spam, to publish anything hateful, harmful or that you do not have the right to publish, or to try to get into another organisation’s data. Keep your passwords to yourself and turn on two-step sign-in.

If an account is used in a way that puts the service or other charities at risk, we may suspend it. We will tell you why and, where we can, give you the chance to fix it first.

Price and payment

What you pay, and when, is what we agreed with you when you joined. We will always tell you in advance before your price changes.

Ending the agreement

You can leave whenever you like: tell us, and we will help you take your website and data with you. We can end the agreement with reasonable notice, or straight away if you seriously break these terms.

Our responsibility

We take reasonable care and skill in running the service. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where the law does not allow it to be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Otherwise we are not responsible for losses we could not reasonably have foreseen, or for indirect losses such as lost donations or opportunities, and our total responsibility in any year is limited to what you paid us in that year.

Changes, law and contact

We may update these terms. We will tell you about any change that matters before it applies, and the date at the top always shows the latest version.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can settle any dispute.
